Jivana in Jimbaran

The InterContinental Bali Resort has completed the renovation of one of the resort’s Imperial Villas which has morphed into an opulent two-storey residence named Jivana Villa. Meaning ‘life’ or ‘existence’, Jivana is secluded from mainstream resort activities and only steps away from the white sands of Jimbaran Bay beach. Not only does it boast it’s own private access, built-in aquariums filled with exotic fish, and a glass-enclosed Love Nest sunroom, but a Jacuzzi encrusted with mother of pearl mosaic tiles. It also features an opulent dining room for up to ten guests plus a separate wine cellar, but the showpiece here is the two-storey Windsong Pavilion which gives new meaning to living the high life with its spectacular elevated views.

Biasa: The Frames In Between

Over a period of four weeks starting on July 16th, Biasa Artspace is presenting ‘The Frames In Between’- a selection of the intricate silk batik embroidery, paintings, and sketches of artist and talented Australian multi-disciplinary designer Kirsty Ludbrook. Her style has been described as reflective of Japanese Manga imagery, her work is simple and contemporary but delicate and deep. Her large scale silk artworks are created with intricate hand-stitched embroidery, appliquéd onto graphic compositions. Kirsty depicts the ordinary phases between events and identifies them as life’s most significant moments, each piece attempts to describe a single, reflective instant, a moment in time.Kirsty Ludbrook is presenting her work at Biasa Artspace between July 16th and August 16th.
