What's on this month?

1st April
The Laguna (Nusa Dua, T: 0361 771 327) invites food lovers and connoisseurs to try their 'Laguna's Gourmet Journey'. The package will begin with cocktails and canapés at the Cascade Bar, then the adventure continues with a five-course menu selection and Laguna dessert selection including coffee or tea. 5th April
'Ngerebong' is a special ritual when a group of temple adherents, being in a trance, stab themselves with Kris (sacred daggers) to indicate that a series of rituals has been processed accordingly. Witness the event at Pura Pentilan Pengerebongan, Kesiaman village, east of Denpasar.


10th – 12th April
InterContinental Bali Resort (Jl. Uluwatu, T: 0361 701 888) has planned a fun-filled long weekend to celebrate the Easter break from 10th April to 12th April 2009. 17th April – 7th May
From April 17th to May 7th, Tonyraka Gallery (Jl. Raya Mas Ubud, T: 0361 781 6785) presents exhibits by a number of Bandung emerging artists. The showcase of their latest visual art is entitled 'Bandung Expanding' and is curated by I Wayan Seriyoga Partha.


21st April
Enjoy a live singing quartet every Tuesday night starting at 7.30 pm while tasting mixed Italian & Indonesian cuisines in colonial style – skillfully prepared by Executive Chef Roberto Bogni at Bianco Restaurant (Jl. Melasti Legian, T: 0361 760 070). Centuries old artefacts from Java and Bali can be found in the restaurant for your viewing pleasure.


22nd April
On April 22nd, Hard Rock Hotel (Jl. Pantai Kuta, T: 0361 761 869) once again hosts their annual social event 'Earth Day'. On this day participants can donate their unused clothes, blankets, toys and books to charitable institutions.


28th April – 3rd May
Following the success of 2008, this year's Balispirit Festival will be held from 28th April to 3rd May 2009 in the stunning grounds of Purnati Centre for the Arts located in Batuan, just 10 minutes south of Ubud.
